Are they actually real coins?
Yes! Several years ago, I began collecting coins that I had found on the ground and keeping them in a prayer jar in my room. Being an absolute lover of jewelry, and noticing that these coins were going to waste on my bedside table, I decided to decorate and gift them to those who needed the Pennies From Heaven most.
Each coin has been found on the ground by myself or others who have donated coins to Mariamor. Once the coins are gathered, each coin is hand-rolled into the desired shape and depth and is hand stamped with unique words, verses, quotes, dates, etc. The options are limitless and BEAUTIFUL!
** Some coins are so dirty that you can actually see remaining currency markings on the back side of the coin after it is rolled and stamped. See if your coin has a little extra design...Those are my favorite!
Is using coins for jewelry legal?
Yes, I promise I am not a criminal ;) I have copied a paragraph from USMINT.gov below:
The prohibition contained in § 82.1 against the treatment of 5-cent coins and one-cent coins shall not apply to the treatment of these coins for educational, amusement, novelty, jewelry, and similar purposes as long as the volumes treated and the nature of the treatment makes it clear that such treatment is not intended as a means by which to profit solely from the value of the metal content of the coins.

Can you do custom orders?
Of course! Send me an email with these details:
1. Type of coin
2. Bracelet, necklace, or keychain
3. Type of chain or stone (feel free to roam the website and pick your favorite!)
4. The words or message you would like stamped
5. Shipping address
If you have a design that you already like but just want to change something small, go ahead and send me a picture of that design, and I will do my best to create something that you will LOVE!
Can I use my own coin?
Absolutely!
Your coins are your prayers, and I would love to help you wear yours every day as a reminder of what is important! Send me an email with the details of your desired coin design (see specific details of custom orders in answer above), and I will send you a shipping address for the coin. From there, it will take about a 10 days for us to return it to you... all prettied up and ready to be worn for protection, guidance, and beauty.
How can I clean my Mariamor coin?
We actually sell an amazing coin cleaner! (we have linked it below ;) and it's only $7) Unlike many other coin cleaners, our custom solution works on all metal types; you can use it on your pennies, dimes, quarters, ANNDDD even other household metal items as well. It works on all metal types. With just one small drop, it will shine your coin (or other item) right up!
Mariamor Coin Cleaner – Mariamor Designs
If you would rather use a different cleaner, you can find these solutions online or at an local coin collector's shop. Be sure to choose the cleaner for your metal type, however, because many of those cleaners only work on specific coin types =)
Note* Do not try to clean your coin in silver cleaner or with any household cleaners (such as Lysol or Clorox). These cleaners will dim your coin or even discolor it over time.
Are your lenses polarized?
All of our styles are made with polycarbonate lenses (PC lense) or polarized lenses. A PC lense in a lense in which the polarizing film is applied to the front of the lens and covered with a scratch-resistant coating. This process means that polarized polycarbonate lenses are the thinnest and lightest polarized lenses available. A polarized lense, however has a natural resistance to scratching and does not need this film.
